Calculation

"Slow Stochastics" has two bands: "%K" and "%D". These can be calculted by using the following formulas:

%K = %D [Fast Stochastic's component ]
%D = SMA ( %K, length)

where:

"Length" is the number of chart points used in SMA (Simple Moving Average)

From "Indicator Properties" you can change the settings for indicator:


This dialog has 4 sections: "%K", "%D", "UP Level" and "Down Level" from where you can set line thickness, color and style of these components. From "Length" you can change the number of points that are used when the Lowest Low and Highest High are calculated. The number of points used in SMA when Fast %D is calculated can be changed from Fast %D Length and the number of points that are used in SMA when Slow %D is calculated can be changed from Slow %D Length. From "Up Level" and "Down Level" you can set the two levels of the indicator.
