Quotes Monitor Pop-up Menu

If one of your Quotes Monitor frames has the focus, you will find, on the main menu bar, a menu named Quotes Monitor; clicking on it will reveal a drop-down box with a selection of menus - operations and options that concern this particular frame.

You can access the same operations and options from the Quotes Monitor Toolbar, as well as from the popup menu that is invoked if you right-click anywhere in a Quotes Monitor table - except a Contract, Last, Bid or Ask cell - and select Quotes Monitor again (take a look at the image on the right). This applies when you are in One-click Trading Mode; otherwise, in Selection Mode, even the aforementioned cell will trigger the same popup hierarchy.

Back to the previously mentioned as exceptions, Bid, Ask and Last will trigger Order Entry-related actions (for details read the Order Entry section).

The remainder of the actions available throughout the whole menu / menu-item hierarchy will be discussed in the following.

At the bottom of the main Quotes Monitor pop-up menu (caption on the right side), there is a selection of menus that allow quick access to significant actions that concern existing or new Workspaces and Frames.

If, while being in One-click-trading Mode, you double-clicked on an empty Contract cell - and the action to be triggered by this event is set to Edit - you can then right-click on the same spot and will get a popup that enables you to paste a contract that was already present in your clipboard. Both options to Copy and Paste to/from clipboard will be active if the contract cell was already populated.

A similar popup will be shown when you are in Selection Mode, and selected one or more contract cells.

When you are in One-click-trading Mode and right-click the Contract column in the Quotes Monitor frame, a menu will appear. Take a look at the image on the right.

In the first section, you can choose to Edit, Delete or see the Contract Details of a contract. When you click on the latter an info window will pop up, containing various details, such as the Exchange the contract belongs to, Minimum tick, Expiration date or Open Time.

You can also change your currently selected contract, or enter a new one, in case you clicked on an empty row with the help of Contract Lookup tool.

Select the Add Alarm option to create a new alarm from Quotes Monitor. If you already defined an alarm for the selected contract, you can change or delete it by selecting Alarms, choosing the alarm you need to modify and finally clicking the Edit/Delete Alarm menu item. In order to read more about Alarms, please click here.

By using the Copy to Clipboard option, you can copy the information from your Quotes Monitor table and use it where you need by pasting it. In order to read more about this functionality, please click here.

The Override Font option will customize the look of your selected cell(s). Press the button to select the Foreground and Background color of your choice.

In the following section, you have items that can be used to open a Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly or an Intraday Chart for the selected contract. You can also choose to see a Tick, Volume or Price Change Chart. In order to read more about Charts, please take a look at the frame's respective Help section.

Use the Options, Price Ladder, Time & Sales and Depth Of Market options to open these frames for the selected contract. It is important to mention that the first Option item will redirect to the Options Chain or Advanced Options frame depending on your selection in the Triggering tab from the Application Properties dialog.

In order to get information about all the available futures months for the selected contract, use the last, All Contracts item from this menu. The image below shows such a listing for ES (E-mini S&P 500).

By clicking on the Contingency option you can place contingent orders. In order to read more about them, please click here.

The Quotes Monitor option will open the same menu that can be accessed from the main menu bar. This was already presented at the beginning of this page.

You will get a different popup menu if you click on one of the tabs - one that allows you to manage these tabs (create new, rename or delete one). Check the Quotes Monitor Toolbar Help section for more details.
